Our tuning package offers a range of profiles, each tailored to different needs and driving conditions, while ensuring the safety and longevity of your vehicle’s engine. All our profiles also includes both DPF and EGR modifications, unless otherwise requested.

Stock Profile with DPF/EGR Modifications: This remap maintains the factory performance of your vehicle but includes key modifications to the DPF and EGR for enhanced maintenance and longevity. It’s the ideal choice for those who prefer the original setup of their Pajero, but with improved fuel efficiency and reduced maintenance needs. The DPF regeneration is disabled, and DPF DTC Off feature prevents limp mode when the DPF is removed for off-road use. Similarly, the EGR cycle is disabled during idle, and EGR DTC Off prevents limp mode when the EGR is unplugged or removed.

Mild Profile: Designed for those seeking a slight increase in performance, this remap is perfect for high-mileage vehicles and workhorses. It adds approximately 8-10% increase in power – with a conservative +1 psi bump boost, providing a safe enhancement for your engine. This profile is a great choice for those looking for a bit more power without straying far from the stock setup.

Torque Oriented Profile: If you need extra pulling power, especially for tasks like towing a caravan, this tune is for you. It increases torque in the lower RPM range (around 2000-3300 RPM) and a 3psi increase in boost pressure, giving you about 12-14% increase in power . What are the requirements?

Do I need to remove the ECU?

No. Our process is completely non-intrusive and does not require any hardware installation. The device simply plugs into the OBD port to flash the ECU.

Do I need to keep the device plugged in the OBD port?

Absolutely not. Once the flashing process has finished, you can unplug the device and keep in your glove compartment.

Does your kit offer the same performance gains as a Dyno-tuned vehicle?

A dyno tune is custom-made for your specific vehicle, allowing a skilled tuner to extract the maximum potential power from your engine while pushing the safety limits of your vehicle. Our map profiles, however, are designed with a broader approach. We consider the average safety thresholds of engine components, the impact of aging on these parts, and the typical usage patterns of most users. As a result, our profiles are more conservative in terms of power gains, focusing instead on enhancing the smoothness and responsiveness of everyday driving.

From our experience, we’ve found that the majority of owners are less concerned with achieving peak power and more interested in the overall driving experience and characteristics.

How did you develop your remaps and is it tested?

We develop our tunes in-house and do not outsource it from third parties. We have our own test vehicle (Pajero Gen 4) that we continuously use as an R&D test mule to test out revisions and improvements to our maps.

Are the performance gains mentioned above confirmed on the Dyno?

The power gains we’ve discussed are based on calculated estimates. These calculations are derived from the manufacturer’s published power output and other factors such as fuel injection quantities, air flow, etc. Essentially, they represent the ‘Potential Power’ that could be achieved if the engine operates as intended. It’s important to note that most dynamometers measure power at the wheels or the hub, making it challenging to obtain exact power figures without relying on calculations.

Moreover, while dynos are effective for measuring peak power, we’ve found that they don’t always provide the most relevant data for mapping a daily driven vehicle. That’s why we primarily conduct our tests using telemetry tools. These tools measure real-world performance metrics like 0-50kph/0-100kph acceleration times and rolling pulls from 40-120kph. Such tests simulate actual driving scenarios, giving us more practical and applicable data for everyday use.

I have a high mileage vehicle (400,000+ kms). Will this work for me?

Certainly! Our tuning package is designed to cater to a wide range of vehicles, including those with high mileage like yours. With over 400,000+ kms, your vehicle has certainly been through a lot, and our tuning profiles take this into consideration.

For high mileage vehicles, we recommend starting with our milder tuning profiles. These are designed to provide a boost in performance without overstraining your engine. Our Mild Profile with DPF/EGR Modifications, for instance, would be a great starting point. It offers enhanced efficiency and reduced maintenance needs while maintaining the engine’s integrity.

It’s important to ensure that your vehicle is well-maintained and in good working order before applying any tuning modifications. Regular checks and upkeep of critical components like the fuel injectors, turbo, and engine health are essential, especially for a high-mileage vehicle.

Is this kit the same as a Tuning Box?

No, our tuning kit is quite different from a tuning box. A tuning box is a piggy-back system that manipulates the data sent to and from your vehicle’s ECU (Engine Control Unit). It essentially tricks the ECU into thinking that certain components are underperforming, prompting them to work harder to meet the pre-set parameters.

In contrast, our tuning kit involves directly remapping the ECU. This method allows for precise adjustments to engine parameters like fuel injection, timing, and air intake, leading to a more integrated and efficient tuning process. Unlike the tuning box’s generic approach, our kit offers a tailored tuning experience, adjusting settings based on specific vehicle models, driving conditions, and individual preferences.

While both systems aim to enhance vehicle performance, our tuning kit provides a more sophisticated, integrated, and customizable approach compared to the simpler, one-size-fits-all method of tuning boxes.

I want more power that your tuning kit currently offers, can this be done?

Absolutely! If you’re looking to go beyond the power levels offered by our current tuning kit, we can certainly accommodate that. We offer a custom add-on service tailored specifically to your vehicle. This process, however, involves detailed datalogging and will require multiple revisions to fine-tune the settings perfectly.

You have the option of conducting this tuning either on a dynamometer, which provides precise and controlled conditions, or through comprehensive road tuning for a more real-world performance assessment. It’s important to note that with this custom tuning, we’ll be pushing your engine closer to its limits, making thorough and accurate datalogging crucial to ensure both performance gains and engine safety.
