Hoon-Mode:

Implements Hoon-mode with your cruise control. When the cruise control is active, Hoon-mode is also active. Therefore, all compatible options will also activate. You need to purchase Hoon-mode compatible options to get Hoon Mode. Your vehicle must have a cruise control feature for this to work for now. (We are working on an alternative for those without a cruise control. Check back with us soon!)

Torque Limiter Delete (Automatic):

This removes the Torque Limiter applied by Volvo from factory on all automatic transmissions. Volvo limits the maximum torque to 60% on first and second gear.

Cold Start Delete:

During cold starts, the engine RPM would increase to around 1500 for 30 seconds or so, to warm up the catalytic converter. This option removes this procedure.

Wastegate Mod:

We will adjust your wastegate control maps so you may utilise an aftermarket wastegate with uprated spring like a Turbosmart 7psi wastegate. This mod allows you to hold more boost at higher RPMs.

2-Step Launch Control:

Implements a 2-Step Limiter at your desired RPM. The 2-Step uses fuel cut to control the RPM. It is enabled when the vehicle is stopped and clutch is depressed. This option is Hoon-mode Compatible.

Anti-Lag Launch Control:

Implements a launch control at your desired RPM. The Anti-Lag uses Spark cut to control the RPM. It is enabled when the vehicle is stopped, clutch is depressed. This option is Hoon-mode Compatible.

Burble/Crackle/Hoon Crackle:

We offer 4 versions of Fuel overrun Crackle:

  • Burbles: This give you a gurgling exhaust note when you lift the throttle. Very discrete and will work with a catalytic.
  • Lift-off Pop (Hybrid): This gives off one or two pops when you lift off the throttle during driving. Minimum requirement is a metal 200-cell Catalytic. Decat Recommended.
  • AK47: Self-explanatory. Minimum requirement is a metal 200-cell Catalytic. Decat Recommended.
  • Hoon Crackle: Switchable AK47 Crackle. Implemented via Hoon-Mode. If Hoon-mode is off, Crackle is disabled.

Water Methanol Injection:

Water Methanol Injection lowers the air intake temperature and cools the engine. It also boosts your octane, allowing us to increase ignition timing. We will tune your vehicle to take advantage of the cooling properties of water-methanol and increase more HP.

Injector Upgrade Recalibration:

Upgrading to a larger injector? Your tune needs to be calibrated for it. For Stage 4/Custom/Ethanol tunes, this is included so no need to purchase separately.

E30/E45/E85:

Ethanol is a high octane fuel. It is mostly used in racing applications. With our ethanol tunes, we can increase your ignition timing and run leaner air-fuel ratio – all of which increases horsepower. NOTE: You need to upgrade fuel injectors and fuel pump. (This is not a flex fuel tune as the ME9 ECU does not possess that ability.)

Using Penta Tuning Studio and a compatible J2534 device, we can flash your vehicle with custom tuning files. Here’s how it works:

  1. Read the ECU: The software connects to your vehicle’s ECU via the J2534 device and reads the existing configuration.

The reading and writing process only takes about 10 minutes however, we need to manage the files prior so the whole process takes between 30 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the tune.
It depends. For exhaust mods for example, it can be installed prior to tuning. For the turbo wastegate however, it needs to be tuned prior to install. Please get in touch with us to confirm.
